Born from a desire for something different, Chromagnus was birthed by guitarist Will Grover and drummer Ronnie Sokol in the spring of 2015. Since their crude history as a driving two-piece, Chromagnus has developed into a complex culmination of energy and style with the addition of second guitarist Max Prudhomme and bassist John “Hutch” Hutchinson. Now, the band expresses the same socio-political themes with a deeper, more time signature-driven structure. Combining the expertly executed chaos of King Crimson with the dirty weight of The Jesus Lizard, Chromagnus creates a sonic environment that simultaneously makes one uncomfortable and encapsulated.
